I’ve just begun a two-year project with Bradford primary schools, working with children in Year 3 to develop their oracy skills and confidence through story making.
Over the past couple of weeks we have visited the Land of Treasures and heard about the King Beyond the Unknown Ocean, who wishes to own light itself. Today, we journeyed to see the Brothers Grimm in the Black Forest, where they guard the Light Absorbing Orb.
Over the two years of the project, I will be working with teachers, other artists and academics to develop a creative curriculum. These sessions have been a combination of European geography and the science of light and dark. I wonder where this journey will take us…
