I enjoy running CPD sessions for teachers, focusing on the intersection of oracy, drama and creative writing. This approach aims to engage reluctant readers and writers, to make writing fun, and to encourage students to have agency and ownership of their work. Among others, I’ve worked with Leeds Learning, Leeds School Library Service, Leeds Beckett University, First Story and the Story Makers Company. Find out more about my approach, qualifications and prices.

I am currently working with Leeds Beckett University on a two-year project called Empowering Children’s Voices, supported through the Teacher Development Fund. The project works across eight schools alongside teachers and artists in the BD5 area in Bradford. It aims to build children’s oracy and communication skills through drama. The project supports teachers and artists to integrate creative learning across the curriculum through an online ‘story exchange’, through practical work with schools, and through regular CPD days. My own CPD sessions draw on this work.
